The Nostalphoniker with their concert program "The Comedian Harmonists sang..." remember the legendary vocal ensemble and perform not only well-known and lesser-known classics of the legendary ensemble. The historical-documentary program refers to the time when the Comedian Harmonists gave their last performances in 1934, before the ensemble, which included three Jewish members, was finally banned from giving public concerts. During this difficult time, the Bayerische Konzertdirektion Gensberger was one of the Comedian Harmonists' unflinching supporters. In March 1934, the Gensbergers organized a tour of Bavaria with the ensemble under the title "Die Comedian Harmonists singen". The correspondence between the Gensbergers and the Comedian Harmonists from this time documents the difficulties and reprisals that accompanied the last concerts.

The Nostalphoniker were able to draw on previously unpublished archive material for the conception of their program.

The program not only offers the best entertainment, but is also a powerful reminder to take a stand against authoritarian tendencies in politics and culture.

The concert takes place on the occasion of the "International Weeks against Racism".
