The fat trumpet - Here's to something new! blurred edges Festival
Will Hamburg's free improvising Lad*ies Orchestra one day reach symphonic proportions? Possibly, there are enough cats in town and region.
After the Grande Soirée 2024 and the performance at the DICKEN TROMPETE 2025 cataract festival with 17 ladies, Krischa Weber and Georgia Hoppe are starting the next round with three new musicians.
The start of the new sequel is once again dedicated to its namesake: the unknown female spelunking trumpeter from the silent film "Die Carmen von St. Pauli" (D 1928). We don't know what she and the many other female musicians of past ladies' bands sounded like. But we do know that the five musicians will improvise and experiment to their heart's content in this small format.
