Die Polizei im „Hotel Silber“ und die lange im Verborgenen gehaltenen Geschichten queerer Menschen
In the organizer's words:
Themed tour and panel discussion
What do Fritz Bauer, Hans Scholl, Käthe Loewenthal, Friedrich Enchelmayer, Karl Zeh and Toni Simon have in common? They were all victims of the Nazi dictatorship, did not fit into the National Socialist world view of gender, love and desire and some of them were still targeted by the criminal investigators of the "Vice" department in Stuttgart's "Hotel Silber" after 1945. The long-hidden stories of queer people during and after the Nazi dictatorship are the focus of the guided tour as part of Stuttgart PRIDE - Christopher Street Day (CSD).
The tour will be led by curators from the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg and Ralf Bogen from the AG Queere Erinnerungskultur "Der-Liebe-wegen" of Weissenburg e. V. Afterwards, Janka Kluge will talk about the special research situation regarding trans* people. Vicky Savolyi, member of the "Burgjugend" and speaker of the board of Weissenburg e. V. as well as Alex Häfner and Tanja Gemeinhardt from "Mission TRANS" will address the question of what dealing with the past means for today.
Please register by 17.07., 12 noon at veranstaltungen-hs@hdgbw.de.
Cooperation partners: AG Queere Erinnerungskultur - "Der-Liebe-wegen" of the Weissenburg
