Music brings charges

The Elbphilharmonie is dedicating a focus to Hans Werner Henze for his 100th birthday as part of the Hamburg International Music Festival. Henze's artistic excursions into the world of film are not to be missed: The Zeise Kino is showing Volker Schlöndorff's film adaptation of "The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum", based on Heinrich Böll's story of the same name and with music by Henze. A pointed indictment of the power of the media and the loss of individual dignity in the field of tension between the state and sensationalism.
