The practice part of the online workshop focuses on how digital content can be made accessible for people with various disabilities.

What will be covered?

• Challenges and solutions for digital accessibility.
• Special needs of people with visual, motor or other impairments.
• Use of assistive technologies and alternative ways to access digital content.

How is it done?

• Practical exercises to improve the accessibility of digital content.
• Development of solutions for high-contrast presentation, voice output and keyboard navigation.

Who is it for?

The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as for people with basic knowledge who want to take a closer look at digital accessibility.

• Trainersfrom Silta, an interdisciplinary network of consultants and developers.
  • Sophie Johanning, expert in the development of software applications for digital accessibility.
  • Dorothée Dapper, specialized in accessible PDF documents and their technical implementation.

This session will provide practical guidance on how to make digital content accessible to a wide range of users and help participants to effectively implement digital accessibility standards.

The appropriate introduction will take place on April 15, 2024 from 10-12 am.

Should it become necessary for you to cancel, for which there may of course be good reasons, please send us a short e-mail. We ask for your understanding that a refund of your participation fee is only possible if you cancel at least two weeks before the start of the event.

All persons with a low income (e.g. students) and members of our foundation are eligible for the reduced participation fee. Proof is not required.

Please note that the online event will take place in the Zoom program. Depending on the event (with audience participation), you may need a camera and/or microphone to participate.

You can either use the client program or the app. With the Chrome and Edge browsers, you can participate directly via the access link. Further information on how to use Zoom. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Zoom so that you have the necessary settings.
