disKursraum – ein Ort für Austausch, Vielfalt und neue Perspektiven

In the organizer's words:

Opening with a varied program

The disKursraum is a new mediation and meeting place in the Museum Fünf Kontinente - curated, changeable and open to many forms of use: Talks, workshops, performances, gatherings. It is intended to provide a space for different questions, thoughts and points of view and thus takes account of the need for discursivity.
The central design principle is the cypher - a term from hip-hop culture that describes an open circle in which people perform, speak and listen one after the other and at eye level. Anyone who joins in enlarges the circle. The rules are agreed, the space is open.
This place is intended to be both a safe(r) space and a brave(r) space: a protected framework for genuine encounters - and a place where dissent is tolerated. In the disKursraum, people can meet respectfully in an open circle, get to know different perspectives and broaden their own horizons. You can learn to endure dissent, question your own views and negotiate new positions together.
At the opening on Saturday, June 20, 2026, a varied program awaits you from 2 p.m., which has been created in cooperation with the Competence Team Diversity. The complete program can be found here as a PDF file.
