3. A Gothic wave punk band from Helsinki, Finland, whose sound is best described as “Gothic Wave Punk.” Their lyrics explore themes of anxiety, depression, and the human condition. Love, loss, and the struggle to exist in a messed-up world. Founded in 2012, the band consists of Jan Ferres (lead vocals, guitars, and synths), Antti Meriläinen (drums and backing vocals), and Risto Juntunen (bass and backing vocals).

[di: unru:] have recorded their second full-length album, which will be released soon.

BABES OF ENOLA GREY —Deborah Vision on synthesizer and Fabian van Castorp on guitar—deliver the soundtrack to a dark “no-future” revival and reject noisy escapism as a convenient alternative to confronting the daily grind. Their songs are nonetheless danceable and full of energy. Could it be that those who have nothing left to lose are the only ones who are truly free?

Babes of Enola Grey is a dark wave/post-pink band from Frankfurt am Main, founded in 2020 by Deborah Vision and Fabian van Castorp. The band draws inspiration from early post-punk, EBM, and new wave artists such as Joy Division, OMD, DAF, and Liaisons Dangereuses, as well as by contemporary acts like She Past Away and Lebanon Hanover and German dark-punk bands like Fliehende Stürme and EA80; however, they try not to be too bound by imaginary genre boundaries or expectations. The result is music that some would describe as eclectic. Nevertheless, their songs have a melancholic and rebellious character. The lyrics are tinged with a touch of cynicism. At the same time, an attitude rooted in punk—one that refuses to capitulate—remains ever-present.

In 2021, the band released their debut album *Anfang vom Ende* on the Berlin-based label Crave Tapes. A remix compilation of the album tracks featuring Curses, Downwell, and many others followed in 2022. In 2025, the band released their second album, “Krieg und Wohlstand,” once again in collaboration with Crave Tapes.
