DOMO EMIGRANTES, founded in 2009, is dedicated to the musical traditions of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean region. With some members hailing from Southern Italy themselves, they blend their own musical traditions with energetic arrangements to create a rhythmically rich and captivating musical language.

Alongside guitar, violin, and percussion, they incorporate instruments that transport ears and hearts to distant lands: the Kurdish saz, ethnic flutes, fujara, bouzouki... The emotional appeal of their music reaches and captivates a wide audience, not least those who long for the South and the Mediterranean coasts. To date, the ensemble has performed not only in theaters, clubs, and at festivals in Italy, but also in France, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Turkey, and the U.S. (Warner Bros. Studios, LA).
