In the organizer's words:
The event will take place outdoors at Sackträgerplatz, at the corner of Böckstr and Beilstrasse
Don Sampo y La Vartuli is an Argentine duo consisting of Santiago Sampo (bandoneon player, singer, and cultural producer) and Cecilia “Pipi” Vartuli (guitarist, singer, dancer, and teacher). They live in the Punilla Valley in Córdoba, Argentina, where they are active in the arts, education, and community work.
Their repertoire blends tango and Argentine folklore in an acoustic, intimate setting that combines the poetry of their homeland with the passion of the stage. With bandoneón, guitar, and two voices that intertwine in every song, they invite us on a musical journey from traditional tango to deeply rooted folklore—with a personal and authentic touch.
For those interested, there will be a tango workshop starting at 6:30 p.m. in exchange for a solidarity contribution to the musicians.
The concert takes place on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. We pay special tribute to the victims of the Argentine military dictatorship.
The concert will be held outdoors along the Verbindungskanal. A solidarity contribution for the artists is requested.
