Doppel-Performance Abend: Yoldaş - Frauen, die einander halten

In the organizer's words:

For decades, women of Turkish origin worked at a BMW plant in Munich, where they experienced times of speechlessness, mental exhaustion and hard physical work together, but also experienced strong solidarity with each other and thus became Yoldaş, companions. The singer Nihan Devecioğlu grew up as the granddaughter of workers of Turkish origin in the vicinity of the factory. In Yoldaş, she creates a poetic-musical space for memories - of her own childhood in Munich in the 1980s and of the women whose work has remained invisible to this day. Women's voices, combined with machine noises and documentary film footage, form a lively collage of contemporary history and at the same time become an expression of self-empowerment and female solidarity.

In keeping with the theme, the performance "Orakel" will take place afterwards on the same day. After "Orakel", there will be an audience discussion on "Yoldaş - Women who hold each other" and "Orakel" with Nazli Saremi.
