Doris macht Blau – Konzert & Jamsession mit "Alsogood" (IT)

The coolest session in the Ruhr region is back!

After a waaaay too long of a break, jazz is finally back at Oma Doris. We want to break jazz and improvised music out of the stuffy institutions and show just how fresh, modern, lively, and above all, versatile this sound can be. Where better to do that than at the most beautiful nightclub in the Ruhr region? The Tanzcafe Oma Doris is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year—and we’re celebrating our 5th. That makes it 55 years of love for music. 

We’re celebrating the rebirth of this event with a very special opening act from Italy:

Francesco Lo Giudice, akaAlsogood, is an Italian music producer and multi-instrumentalist. In his project, he blends organic hip-hop rhythms with jazzy intuitions and melodies characterized by an introspective atmosphere.

He is the founder ofFigùra, Italy’s first instrumental hip-hop and jazz trio, with whom he released the debut album*Place to Be*on Inch Per Second Records in 2018. The album was created in collaboration with artists such as MARO (Jacob Collier, Quincy Jones), Illa J (brother of J Dilla), Melodiesinfonie, and other musicians.

With numerous releases on vinyl and cassette, Alsogood’s music has now reached25 million streams acrossall digital platforms.
