Dortmund unplugged

The Schiller Songwriter Stage "Dortmund Unplugged" is a concert series in Long August that focuses on local artists. Every second Thursday, three acts present a 30-minute program with acoustic instruments, their own songs and close proximity to the audience. "Dortmund Unplugged" promotes the diversity and creativity of Dortmund's singer/songwriter scene. It creates a platform for local talents to present themselves and build a close bond between artists and listeners. The series is hosted by Hans Blücher, Boris Gott and a team from Nordmarkt Records and Musiksyndikat Ruhr.

On 14.11.2024, "Martin Lixenfeld", the "Trio Karibe" and "Boomcoustix" will be at the start.

The singer/songwriter and founder of the Schiller Songwriter Stage, MARTIN LIXENFELD, combines acoustic folk, country and gospel with strong English poetry and tells impressive stories in his songs and about his songs.

BOOMCOUSTIX brings the energetic songs of Boomtown Shakedown to the stage in a reduced form: without electric guitars or elaborate horn sections, but with a pure vibe and a clear focus on the fragile core of the songs. The result is a unique, intense sound.

TRIO KARIBE combines the sunny sound of the steelpan with Latin and reggae rhythms. Bea Bernert (vocals/steelpan), Martin Buschmann (sax/steelpan) and Jürgen Bruhn (guitar) present their own German-Caribbean songs with a lot of joy and humor.
