Dortmund unplugged: Auswärtsspiel
In the organizer's words:
Away Game: Dortmund Unplugged at the Pauluskirche
June 26, 2026 | 7:30 p.m. | Pauluskirche | Dortmund
For the second time this year, Dortmund Unplugged is leaving its usual home and will return to the Pauluskirche on June 26. The special atmosphere in the heart of Nordstadt will serve as the stage for three acts, each performing for 30 minutes to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of music from Dortmund and the surrounding region.
This time, the lineup includes:
Lilou, Hannes Weyland, and C. Buschmann.
LILOU writes songs like snapshots—vivid, clear, and with a gentle intensity. Amid shimmering synthesizers and guitar lines, she creates German-language indie pop that captures the mood of the blue hour. Her music evokes night buses, big cities, and the feeling of rediscovering oneself—somewhere between daydream and reality.
HANNES WEYLAND comes across as almost a bit old-school in an era when pop music live shows are limited to DJ booths. Real instruments, no loops, no frills. And yet it’s still contemporary. Starting with German-language chamber pop, he evolved sonically in 2018 toward a more dynamic sound. His first full-length album was released in 2023 and bears the epic title “Schlaf’ zu wenig, träum’ zu viel.”
C. BUSCHMANN writes songs and sings them. The result is a melancholic, urban blend of guitar and voice: a mix of indie and folk. Following “Betweenity” (2023) and “Handshakes” (2024), his third EP, titled “Recent Rooms,” was released in December 2025.
The evening will be hosted by Bjarne tanzt!
Organized by Musiksyndikat Ruhr in cooperation with Nordmarkt Records and the Pauluskirche.
