Dortmund unplugged: Auswärtsspiel
In the organizer's words:
Dortmund Unplugged - Away Game |
July 31, 2026 | 7:30 p.m. | Pauluskirche | Dortmund
On July 31, Dortmund Unplugged will return to the Pauluskirche. Three acts will showcase the diversity and vibrancy of music from Dortmund and the surrounding region.
This time, Franzy, Johna, and Skjella will take the stage at Pauluskirche!
FRANZY is sometimes contemplative and melancholic, sometimes humorous and critical. With lyrics in German and Italian, she invites you to dream, laugh, and cry. Always striving to offer a little bit of comfort. Originally from the Harz region, Franzy recently moved to Dortmund and is looking forward to diving into the local music scene.
JOHNA moves between German chanson and pop poetry. She masterfully plays with emotions. Her songs reveal her musical influences—such as Sarah McLachlan, Heather Nova, and Jewe—without ever imitating them. Gentle melodies blend with powerful messages and songs that invite reflection or are simply fun to listen to.
SKJELLA brings a fresh take on the polyphony of ancient songs from around the world. The four singers embark on a musical journey, bringing the beauty of the world’s songs to our ears. Their repertoire ranges from warm rhythms of South America to dances from France, powerful Georgian chants, Irish ballads, and Scandinavian round dances.
The evening is organized by the Musiksyndikat Ruhr in cooperation with Nordmarkt Records and the Pauluskirche.
Free admission. Donations are welcome.
Parking is available at the north entrance of the main train station and at Dortmunder-U.
