The course consists of three dates:

May 16, 2026 10:00 - 15:00

May 17, 2026 11:00 - 15:00

May 28, 2026 19:00 - 21:00

In this course, you will learn how to work with clay step by step - from preparation to the finished piece.

The first day of the course is all about the basics: how to prepare clay correctly, how to center it and how to create simple shapes such as bowls or cups. You will get a feel for the material and make your first piece, which we will continue working on the following day.

Onthe second day of the course, you will continue to work on your turned pieces. I will show you how to shoot them and work on them further. Afterwards you can - if you wish - attach handles or give your piece a personal touch with simple scoring work.

The third session takes place in the evening and lasts two hours. This day is all about glazing: You will learn how to prepare your pieces for glaze firing and add the finishing touches. You can then collect your finished work around three weeks later.

The aim of the course is to develop a feel for the clay, to experience the creation process and to be able to take your own work home with you at the end. If you want to try out something creative and get your hands dirty, I look forward to seeing you! You don't need any previous experience.
