In their duo evening for cello and piano, Marie-Louise Wundling and Hanne Pilgrim explore the influence of the past on the present and shed light on the tense relationship between past and present. The first part of the concert program focuses on pieces of music that look back, that bring fragments of the past into a new future or revive times long gone, and explore how much preservation, how much detachment from yesterday must be, may be or can be. The second part of the concert is dedicated to compositions that pose the question of the extent to which we identify or perceive ourselves through our relationship to the past. The then as a place of escape from our own reality, as an uncontrollable parameter in the history of the personal now or as a constant point of reference for personal decisions...

These and other aspects of the space between yesterday and today will be musically illuminated here, inviting the audience to rediscover, rediscover or question themselves at one point or another.
