Duo Millefleurs: Café-Nachmittag mit Livemusik und hausgemachten Kuchen
In the organizer's words:
The duo’s repertoire includes works by A. Piazzolla, E. Granados, I. Albéniz, R. Pintos, and P. Iturralde, among others.
Following last year’s enthusiastic response, the successful Musikcafé series will continue in the Unterbiberg parish hall: Over coffee and cake, the Millefleurs Duo will treat us to a blend of classical pieces, tango, and world music. Munich-based saxophonist Sarah Lilian Kober and her Georgian piano partner Nestan Heberger entertain with folk dance melodies; transporting their audience to the coffeehouse culture of the 1930s or telling the story of the tango—sometimes melancholic, sometimes rousing, but always full of passion and harmony.
Classically trained saxophonist Sarah Lilian Kober performs with the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, the Augsburg Philharmonic, the Bavarian Philharmonic, and the New Philharmonic Munich. She plays soprano saxophone in the Trio Étoiles, founded in 2017, alongside pianist Vadym Palii and saxophonist Vanja Sedlak. For years, she has worked closely with pianist and composer Peter Ludwig. In addition, Sarah Lilian Kober teaches at the Erding District Music School, where she has served as deputy principal since 2021.
Nestan Heberger came to Germany from Georgia in 2000 with a diploma in piano pedagogy. Here, she completed her studies at what was then the Richard Strauss Conservatory and later the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich under Professors Yasuko Matsuda and Bianca Bodalia. Even while still a student, she gained concert experience both as a soloist and in chamber music projects. She collaborated several times with the Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra for the Orff Days in Munich and performed as a soloist with this orchestra.
