Perhaps the hallmark of good "retro" oriented rock music (i.e. "retro without wanting to be retro") lies in the feeling that you have just discovered a treasure by chance. This feeling can't quite be put into words, perhaps best described as a mixture of familiarity and rediscovery. In the case of the Cologne quintet superfuse, this description fits like a glove.
The sound of superfuse feels like deja vu, a lasting memory of something that never really existed.
The band clearly do their own thing: banging but catchy. Intense. Earthy. But at the same time floating-hypnotic. Buckle up, folks!

If Quentin Tarantino had a music project with Angus Young and Iggy Pop, the result could sound pretty much exactly like Dusthead:
Dust-dry, desert-hot, played to the point with the punch of an adrenaline shot straight to the heart.
Dusthead's songs combine a 70s vintage sound with a dash of hard rock and a pinch of the 60s.
