Duty Free focuses entirely on original compositions by the quartet’s founder, Timon Krämer. The visionary bassist gives his bandmates—Henning Katz on drums, Aydın Bayramoğlu on piano, and Benjamin Stanko on trumpet and flugelhorn—complete freedom to improvise. Inspired by groove-oriented jazz, the musicians unleash their spirit of experimentation through a creative style that shifts between ballad-like and rhythmically rousing sounds—with hints of swing, modal jazz, and Latin groove woven throughout.

Their first album together, “Katharsis,” was released on vinyl in early 2025.
