DUTY FREE "CATHARSIS" RELEASE CONCERT

Duty Free focuses entirely on the original compositions of quartet founder Timon Krämer. The visionary bassist gives his fellow musicians Rafael Müller on drums, Aydın Bayramoğlu on piano and Benjamin Stanko on trumpet and flugelhorn complete freedom to improvise.

Inspired by groove-oriented jazz, the musicians unfold their joy of experimentation in a creative style of playing between sometimes balladic, sometimes rhythmically rousing sounds - with hints of swing, modal jazz and Latin groove mixed in. The band's sound also tells the story of how the four musicians have been playing together in various formations for years.

Their first joint album "Katharsis" will be released on vinyl on February 1, 2025.
