Alessandra Lupidi and Anja Schimanski take you on an unexpected musical journey, from Italy and France to Spain: old Italian songs - revisited - improvisations, their own compositions.

The music deals with the really big themes, life, exile, love and the small and big things in between...

The interplay between the two musicians combines voice and instruments with jazz, opera, blues and flamenco.

"You won't be disappointed when you get on board with this sparkling duo. This wonderful concert takes us to Italy and Spain, the two home countries of singer Alessandra Lupidi. Alessandra comes from an operatic and jazz singing background and unfolds her many vocal facets with ease. Her voice, guitars and percussion harmonize wonderfully with the strings of Anja Schimanski on double bass and electric bass.

Their infectious energy sweeps the audience away, who are immediately enchanted by their eclectic and multilingual repertoire, which they interpret subtly and not without humor in a delicious mix of jazz, flamenco, opera and blues."
