Blending southern hip-hop, funk and soul, and aiming to create a unique vibe in every single track, EARTHGANG have quickly set themselves apart from other hip-hop crews. Collaborations with Kehlani, T-Pain, Future and Young Thug put the duo around Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot on the map. Ultimately, it was the favor of J. Cole, who signed EARTHGANG to his label, that brought the duo their worldwide breakthrough with their 2019 album "Mirrorland". The song "Collide" from the "Queen & Slim" soundtrack, co-written with Tiana Major9, was nominated for Best R&B Song at the 2021 Grammy Awards. With over 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify and after appearances at Coachella, AC3 Festival, SXSW and tours supporting J. Cole as well as their own headlining tours, EARTHGANG have long been one of the most important artists in modern Atlanta hip-hop. The duo will be coming to Berlin and Cologne in January.

Growing up in South Atlanta, where OutKast and Future also hail from, Olu O. Fann and WowGr8 (real name: Eian Undrai Parker) met in high school, where they became friends and began making music together, influenced by artists such as T-Pain, Curtis Mayfield and Ms. Lauryn Hill. In 2009, they formed the project EARTHGANG under their stage names "Johnny Venus" and "Doctur Dot" and worked on their first EP while both artists began studying at Hampton University in Virginia. The EP "The Better Party" was the duo's first release in 2010, followed by the two mixtapes "Mad Men" and "Good News" as self-releases the following year. After their first tours and a performance at the A3C Festival in 2013, the duo released their debut album "Shallow Graves For Toys" and reached number 11 on the Billboard Emerging Artists list. The album "Stray With Rabies" followed in 2015, on which "Missed Calls" became the duo's biggest hit to date. In 2017, EARTHGANG signed to J. Cole's label Dreamville Records, where they released the EP trilogy consisting of "Rags", "Robots" and "Royalty " (2018), attracting attention on a large scale. In 2019, they released their album "Mirrorland", which reached number 40 on the Billboard 200 with songs such as "Proud Of U" feat. Young Thug, "Swivel" and "Stuck" feat. Arin Ray as the duo's most successful release to date. The current album "Ghetto Gods" was released in 2022, on which EARTHGANG collaborated with Future, JID and Baby Tate, among others, and, according to Consequence, combines influences from "reggae, gospel, funk, R&B and Atlanta hip-hop in an eccentric mix that undoubtedly sounds like EARTHGANG ". The EP "Robophobia", released in 2024, and the single "Love You More" feat. T-Pain, released at the beginning of October, continue this sound with flying colors.
