Galerie Ruttkowski;68 is celebrating the first anniversary of its Bochum location on April 12. From 14:00, the gallery in the Schlosspark Weitmar invites all interested parties to an open afternoon - collectors, artists, friends of the gallery and everyone who has been part of this first year. There will be free drinks to toast.
The focus of the program at 15:30 will be a discussion between artist Carolin Eidner and curator and cultural anthropologist Nada Rosa Schroer. On the occasion of her current exhibition THE GREAT SURRENDER, the two will talk about the theme of surrender as an artistic attitude and about Eidner's working process. Schroer conducts research with a focus on hydrofeminist and posthuman artistic practices.
The artist and actor Lars Eidinger will be on site as a special guest. He will be available to sign his previously published photo books on request.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the current exhibition THREE ROOMS with works by Carolin Eidner, Ornela Vorpsi and Robert Elfgen. The exhibition is on display until April 19 and admission is free.
Galerie Ruttkowski;68 was founded in 2010 and now has locations in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Paris and New York. Since 2025, it has occupied the historic rooms of the former Galerie m between Museum unter Tage and Situation Kunst in Bochum-Weitmar.
All are welcome.
