In the summer of 1990, Germany experienced a historic moment of exception: under the leadership of team boss Franz Beckenbauer, the national team won the World Cup in Italy and made sporting history. Decades later, the tournament is revisited - with personal memories of the players, previously unpublished private material and rare archive finds from the FIFA collection. This retrospective not only traces the sporting path to the title, but also sheds light on the spirit of a country in transition. The focus is on cohesion, loyalty and the feeling of a new beginning in a newly reunified Germany, whose collective euphoria can still be felt today.
