Under the title "A star has risen", the stage once again belongs to the very young performers in the run-up to Christmas.
The story begins outside in the wintry field. The devil discovers that a star has risen, foretelling the birth of a child. Witches, summoned by the devil, try to drive the star away by conjuring up a snowstorm to thwart the birth. But no storm could prevent the birth...
The Riederinger Hirtabuam together with children from Oberammergau sing and play - together with the Kirchleitn Saitenmusik and the Riederinger Bläsern - and tell the Christmas story as it may have happened 2000 years ago in Bavarian Judea.
