ElbaVista is a new pop-up venue on Theaterplatz, featuring a view of the Elbe River in the outdoor area of the historic Italian Village. Under shady trees not far from the Semperoper, visitors can enjoy music, art, and German-Italian cuisine every day.
“With free admission, everyone can look forward to hand-picked music, live concerts, open-air DJ sets, select World Cup soccer broadcasts, and the official festival lounge of the Palais Sommer,” says project manager Gustav Polenz. “The location on Theaterplatz is uniquely beautiful and should no longer be kept from the people of Dresden.”
Our program series:
- ElbaVista-Soundbrings international sounds to the terraces: from Nordic Noir & Neon Lights to Balearic Rumba, Global Latin Beats, and Spanish Grooves, all the way to Americana, Contemporary Jazz, Deep Beats, and electronic sounds. The evenings combine musical diversity—from familiar classics to exotic sounds—and create an inspiring atmosphere near the Elbe.
- ElbaVista-Beatsfeatures electronic sounds, DJ sets, and modern club culture, creating an urban summer vibe on the terraces.
- ElbaVista-Liveoffers a variety of concerts featuring regional and national artists.

With around 200 seats, there’s a new hangout right in the heart of downtown Dresden. Members of the Comuneo community benefit in particular, receiving, among other things, a 1-euro discount on all items at the ElbaVista restaurant. The venue is organized by the Comuneo team, which is temporarily renting the space; the Italian Village building itself remains closed.
