Palais Sommer: Tango Sommernacht
In the organizer's words:
Palais Summer Festival: Dance and Concert I Free admission
Tango Summer Night | Gran Orquesta de Tango Carambolage (DE) | Cristian Javier Castaño (ARG) & Ezgi Senoglu
The Tango Summer Night begins with a free introductory course by Cristian Javier Castaño and Ezgi Senoglu. Together with professional dance teachers, you can take your first steps and become part of the evening yourself.
Afterwards, the "CARAMBOLAGE" orchestra will bring the sound of Argentine tango to the stage. With bandoneons, violins, piano, double bass, tuba and vocals, the ensemble revives the atmosphere of Buenos Aires in the 1940s - passionate, energetic and full of emotion.
The orchestra is led by bandoneon player Jürgen Karthe, who has been one of the most influential personalities on the German tango scene for many years.
The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.
In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place on Dresden's Neumarkt from June 20 to July 26. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
