A square on stage, a playing area: What is important to you? What position do you take, how do you behave when someone takes an opposing position? What happens if others join in? We are already in a dynamic democratic process. Can you stand it?
With every movement, with every new character, the game becomes denser, more complex, more lively. Relationships and dynamics emerge and change as a group of young performers gradually forms. Or is it a band that comes together? Sounds, choreographies and words create a dialog that challenges everyone. Because the question of who sets the tone and whose voice must not go unheard reveals the core of democratic processes: A willingness to negotiate, to endure differences of opinion and the courage to change one's own perspective.
With democratic playground: exploring the room, the group led by the artist duo Elbers/Zhukov makes democracy tangible. With their collaborative approach, they have collected voices and thoughts on social processes and want to share and develop these with the audience.
