At first glance, “Electrokadaver” doesn’t sound very appetizing, but what André Restle and Christian Stanner serve up on the turntables is guaranteed to leave you wanting more. The two have been active as a DJ duo since 2006, but their musical career actually dates back to 1991. So they’ve been mining the goldmine of electronic sounds for 35 years now, with their sets featuring house, techno, electro, and downtempo—and sometimes even revealing influences from acid, trap, and drum & bass. Their many years of nightlife experience inspired them in 2024 to launch their own DJ podcast, “Sprecht!,” through which they, together with guest DJs, offer exciting behind-the-scenes insights into club life. 

Optibob hasn’t been on the podcast yet, but Electrokadaver will be featuring him as a special guest at the Palais on July 18. The Munich native, who lived in Berlin for years, made a name for himself as a DJ under the stage name Calvin Bosco, and threw “stylomate” underground house parties, has been a regular fixture on the lineups at various scene hotspots along the Isar since his return home in 2023. Stylistically, he now prefers to move between funky house, groovy tech house, jazz-infused deep house, and hints of Afro and Latin house.
