ELFMORGEN (Punk)
The band name Elfmorgen is rarely stupid, and it doesn't give away anything of what the audience can expect, namely a brutally loud sound somewhere between punk and metal as well as a lot of nonsense. The latter is not a matter of course with German rock music.
The trio Elfmorgen from Frankfurt. The band around the good-humored singer and guitarist Andy, who is also a remarkable whipper-in and teller of tall tales, has been ploughing the field between punk rock and soccer anthems with German lyrics for around 20 years, but can also put a reggae rhythm under his short lyrics. Last but not least, the three men also get to Ton Steine Scherben's "Rauch-Haus-Song", without even touching the melody. The Elfmorgen song "Oberlippenbart" is very catchy.
