The current album "Reaching for the Moon" is Elina Duni's sixth ECM recording and her third with Rob Luft. The Swiss-Albanian singer and the British guitarist have been developing their musical project since 2017, when they met at a workshop at the Montreux Jazz Festival. They share an interest in a very broad spectrum of music, which is reflected in their quartet albums "Lost Ships" (2020) and "A Time To Remember" (2023). The new album, which features just the core duo of vocals and guitar, is their most intimate to date and is just as adventurous and expansive in its quiet way as its predecessors.
