In February, we honor the history and achievements of Black people while addressing important aspects of social justice and ethnic discrimination. On February 5 at 6 pm, the author Elise Yomba will read from her first book "Successful in the Land of the Germans". It is a family biography in which the native Cameroonian provides insights into her journey between mother, migrant and entrepreneur. The experiences recounted by the author address topics such as family, identity, migration, raising children, starting a (women's) business, ethnic discrimination, sexism, empowerment, (post)colonialism and relations between the Global South and North.
