An event at the Humboldt Library as part of the series BÜHNENTAUSCH!
In his texts we experience Erich Kästner as an astute analyst. The Nazis wanted to see decadence and moral decay in his critical, pacifist spirit. Kästner's books were burned in 1933. He lived in Berlin from 1927 to 1945, and for a time in Hermsdorf in the 1960s. Known and unknown works by Erich Kästner will be presented at a reading in the Humboldt Library by Marianne Mielke, who invites people to take a walk in the footsteps of Kästner in Hermsdorf on behalf of the Museum Reinickendorf.
The event is a cooperation between the Museum Reinickendorf and the Reinickendorf City Library and takes place as part of "Bühnentausch 2025".
At BÜHNENTAUSCH, readings alternate between the Museum Reinickendorf and the Humboldt Library and promote exchange between the two locations.
Welcome by Claudia Wasow-Kania, Museum Reinickendorf.
