Eröffnung: Zu den Sternen! Weltraum und Weltflucht seit der Moderne
In the organizer's words:
The Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck, located south of Bonn, cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition "To the Stars! Space and Escapism Since the Modern Era" on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Free admission is available for the exhibition on this evening.
Space has always served as a powerful canvas for longings and utopias—in the face of global crises, it still holds the vision of an alternative existence. Apocalyptic awakenings and the eccentric dissolution of boundaries are explored through approximately 100 works spanning from the modern era to the present—including pieces by Yael Bartana, Max Ernst, El Lissitzky, Katharina Sieverding, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, and Emma Talbot. A gaze into space reveals cosmic dreams and becomes a reflection on our present and future.
