Man is neither the crown of creation nor is the earth the center of the universe and homo sapiens is basically just an instinct-driven ape that has nothing under control. The psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud considered these bitter realizations to be the three great grievances of mankind. Since Freud, we have all experienced a few more insults and now a virus has mercilessly exposed us and exposed our weak points. These are many sore points and further insults are to be expected. Artificial superintelligence could knock Homo Sapiens off its pedestal and turn us all into relative idiots. But at least humanity will then have a nice task ahead of it: to find a new and perhaps much better reason to justify the human species bothering the world with its presence. Frank-Markus Barwasser explores these questions in his new cabaret program "Der wunde Punkt" and once again sends his alter ego, the imperturbable Erwin Pelzig, onto the stage in the tried and tested company of Hartmut and Dr. Göbel - so that despite all the offence, at least the confidence doesn't fall by the wayside.
