Surf rock from a region that consists only of sand: Etran de L'Aïr - a family collective founded in 1995 in Agadez (Niger), the capital of the Tuareg desert guitar - creates hypnotic, sun-drenched songs from northern Malian blues, Hausa bar bands and Congolese soukous. Since 2020, they have been bringing this sound to stages in North America, Europe, the UK, Brazil and Australia.
