OPENING
on Thursday, 16.11.2023, at 6 p.m.
With over 250 black and white and color photographs as well as 200 archival documents, presented on two floors, the exhibition provides a comprehensive insight into the photographer's rich artistic oeuvre.
A particular focus of the show is on the socio-political conditions under which she and other women of her generation worked and the challenges and hurdles they faced.
Richter's numerous self-portraits taken during her work and the close written and photographic exchange with her artist friends Ursula Arnold, Christa Sammler and Eva Wagner-Zimmermann offer very personal insights.
