In the organizer's words:
A musical drama by Erik Gedeon—perfect entertainment with cult potential!
A THEATER IN AN UNDEFINED FUTURE: The theater has closed its doors, but the ensemble is still there—and having a blast! A handful of elderly actors and actresses are using the space as a retirement home. Here they sit together on stage, reliving their past successes. Only Sister Camila disturbs the idyll: Not only does she torment her charges with children’s songs meant to get them clapping along, but her musical lectures on illness, old age, and death also really put a damper on the mood. But as soon as she turns her back on them, the old stage stars’ craving for the wild life of yesteryear comes to the surface: from “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” to “I Will Survive!” Because: once a show-off, always a show-off!
Since its Dresden premiere in 2007, “Forever Young” has been filling theaters across the country with enthusiastic audiences. No wonder—the combination of legendary pop and rock classics, acting, slapstick, and offbeat humor leaves not a dry eye in the house.
Experience the Theater für Niedersachsen’s acting ensemble, aged by decades—but still going strong!
