and eavesdrops on the conversations of the other hotel guests, which revolve around the mysterious disappearance. Miss Neale—is none other than Agatha Christie herself. Under her alias, she begins to investigate secretly: What were the reasons for her failed marriage? What skeletons has her husband’s new girlfriend hidden in the closet? And what secrets does this small, sleepy hotel actually hold? With the help of various flashbacks and fantasies, she begins to unravel her own case, which in turn provides plenty of inspiration for new novels.
