Eternity sounds (Forever Sounds), a work of art by Moritz Fehr, 2024
What does eternity sound like? The sound sculpture by artist Moritz Fehr at the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum opens up a new perspective on the eternal after-effects of mining: he combines sounds, vibrations and resonances emanating from underground infrastructure, technical monitoring systems and post-mining sites to create an expansive work of art and thus transports the acoustic presence of the so-called eternal tasks into the museum. With Ewigkeitsgeräusche (Forever Sounds), Moritz Fehr calls for an examination of human intervention in the subterranean space and the environment - discover it now at the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum!
