In the organizer's words:

The artist and art educator Stephanie Frost invites children and adults in the Werkhalle to discover a small world together - a very own imaginative world that will soon be celebrating its birthday - and to develop and build it individually in a creative process.

In this monthly series, we start with a narrative impulse: A little world that has a birthday.
Step by step, images, spaces, creatures and other stories develop from this story and through the creative work we do together.

Children and adults create with a wide variety of materials, such as cardboard, paper, fabrics, found objects, clay or plasticine and natural materials. Places, spaces, paths, favorite places, little things and creatures that belong to this world are created. The design is open and individual: the world can be bright or calm, playful or reduced - whatever feels right. Some worlds are very small or very large, but above all they are full of fantastic possibilities.

The focus is on exploring and marveling together.
Children and adults embark on a journey of discovery together: The children act out of their own competence, adults accompany attentively, support each other and provide space for individual paths, experiments and ideas.

The workshop is inspired by Reggio pedagogy. There are no templates, the focus is on the creative process - shared amazement, experimentation, building and storytelling.

This little world continues to grow over four sessions. The material environment is carefully selected and invites independent creation without being too demanding.
