Färber Workshop im Finkennest

On August 16, we invite you to a creative workshop on dyeing with natural materials. The workshop will take place at Finkennest—many of the plants used can be discovered, observed, and used right on site.

Together, we’ll delve into the basics of dyeing with natural dyes and experiment with colors, plants, and different techniques. The focus will be entirely on creative work with natural dyes.

Workshop Content

* Introduction to the basics of dyeing with natural dyes

* Getting to know various dye plants

* Group experimentation with colors and materials

* Introduction to and exploration of various dyeing techniques

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Workshop Part 1 – Theory and Preparations

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Lunch break together—everyone brings something for a vegetarian picnic in the garden

1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Workshop Part 2—Hands-on activities and experimentation

Ends around 4:00 p.m.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about natural colors and experimenting creatively—no prior experience is required.
