In the open - subtle transitions in the sound space

In Dortmund's Domicil, a traditional jazz club with an open, sophisticated program, the special club atmosphere offers an ideal setting for unusual sound experiments. Three different artistic positions meet here at the finale of this year's BLAUES RAUSCHEN festival.

With Merche Blasco, Thomas Lehn x Georg Gräwe and Robert Lippok, this evening brings together artists who think of sound as an open structure. The focus is not on the completed work, but on transitions: between acoustic and electronic, between impulse and processing, between setting and reaction.

Material remains audible as texture, as resistance, as energy in space. Processes intertwine, cycles emerge, decisions are made in the moment. Improvisation appears less as a style than as a precise form of action within clear aesthetic parameters.

A concert evening that does not level out differences, but makes them productively recognizable, quietly, concentrated and with great attention to what happens in the sound.
