Fête de la musique 2024

In the organizer's words:

Every year at the beginning of summer on June 21, the Fête de la Musique - the Worldwide Music Day - takes place. Bands and artists perform at all the venues, with Free admission for the public. And this concept is also being implemented with increasing success in Leipzig. Since 2012, the Institut Français and the Deutsch-Französische Gesellschaft (DFGL) have been organizing the Fête de la musique with concerts throughout the city with the support of numerous organizers.

Crasa

The perfect musical amalgam is here to stay. Started as a solo project by Cristóbal Saldaño in 2019 with the release of his first album, Crasa has continuously released more music in the following years. Today, Crasa is more active than ever: with a newly formed live band, he is involved in countless projects and tours throughout Germany. Chaotic riffs and funky jams form the heart of Crasa's music and keep it beating to the rhythm. The party is waiting!

LYNT

Party cellar pop®? Yes, that sounds like LYNT. Based in Leipzig, Theresa Elflein (Elfyn, MAW and a thousand other projects) and Marco Pilzecker (Supershirt, Captain Capa, MMudHdG and a myriad of other bands) started their wild mix of Cyndi-Lauperism and Twin-Peaksness last year after clarifying the three most basic questions.

Parrington

Parrington is the result of 4 guys from Leipzig who made music together under the name "Hematom" until April 2020, ¾ of them already since 2006. Musically, Parrington are committed to skate punk and convince with melodic guitars, explosive drums and catchy bass riffs. With "Belief", the boys are releasing a re-release of their first English-language album from the Hematom era in 2017.

The Rollin' Bros

From funk, blues, rock & pop to rock'n'roll. Two saxophones, piano, vocals, accordion, drums and base: This young Leipzig-based combo of musicians surprises with fast rhythms and danceable evenings. From laid-back Latin grooves and rough blues riffs to infectious rock classics: The Rollin' Bros are a young cover band from Leipzig for open-air concerts, city festivals and parties on the big stage.

The Voodoo Puppets

The Voodoo Puppets of Hell and Doom, hailing from Leipzig, defy convention as a dynamic force of diversity. They transcend genre boundaries, igniting a frenzy that captivates the soul. From stoner to hard rock, from psychedelic to punk - the Voodoo Puppets of Hell & Doom leave no melody untouched and no rehearsal room unscathed.
