FLIMMERFEST 2026 – Das studentische Kurzfilmfestival der HAW

Every two years, the production lab at the Hamburg Art and Media Campus opens its doors for the FLIMMERFEST. The student short film festival was launched in 2012 and is aimed at students who enjoy making films or want to try their hand at it for the first time. As a space for experiments with a do-it-yourself attitude, the festival is organized by students for students and is open to interested parties beyond HAW Hamburg.

In 2026, the festival will enter its eighth round under the motto WECHSELSPANNUNG: on June 19 and 20, the best of this year's submissions will be shown on the big screen in the production lab! There will also be panel discussions with various guests on the subject of films.
