In “Bollwerk,” three protagonists are followed as they go about their work in the small Saxon town of Wurzen. In interviews, they describe the challenges, struggles, and opportunities of political work in the provinces. “Bollwerk” tells the story of efforts to uphold democracy, small towns in eastern Germany, and the importance of civic engagement.
