That he has to race through the dark night by car to save his grandma—no big deal. And taking an airship to a strange city? No big deal! But why does everything he wishes for suddenly come true there? Why are monkeys doing the things he doesn’t feel like doing? And why does he even make friends with ease at the Club of Great Spirits? Something isn’t right, and it’s slowly dawning on Mika: This is no ordinary journey, but a matter of life and death! A fast-paced story full of unexpected twists that shows what a big, wild adventure growing up really is. Or as Flix himself says: “An action-packed fantasy novel without dwarves or elves. The Author:

Flix lives and works as a freelance illustrator and comic artist in Berlin. In addition to numerous books, he currently publishes his newspaper comic “Glückskind” every week in the F.A.Z. With “Spirou in Berlin” and “Das Humboldt-Tier,” Flix became the first German-speaking artist to create adventures for the Franco-Belgian series. Flix’s works have been translated into nine languages and have received numerous awards. In February 2025, he curated the exhibition “UDERZO – From Asterix to the Magic Potion” at the Museum for Communication in Berlin. “Immerland” is his first novel.
