FOMO - (Fear of Missing Out)
In the organizer's words:
OPEN FORM(AT) SHOWING
The research project 'FOMO' is a laboratory in which KHARABA & GUESTS explore, test and develop methods and strategies for an improvised dance piece. The piece should have a concrete, unmistakable essence and at the same time be able to be different for each performance: perceived impulses lead to decisions that result in unexpected twists and turns. The dance unfolds as a response to what happens moment by moment, without a set sequence. The starting point for the development of the work is the 'PLAYTIME' format, in which participants improvise with each other based on a set of rules. In addition, work will continue on researching and developing an auditory dramaturgy as an access-expanding dimension for dance pieces. In the context of this work, auditory dramaturgy refers to the conscious artistic design of audible elements of a dance piece. A specific focus is placed on listening as an aesthetic means of access, for the perception of the course, the events and the moods of the piece.
