After a "fantastic concert" (KStA) in the sold-out Kölner Philharmonie and the resulting double live album, the last autumn tour in 2022 was again nine times SOLD OUT. And already new colors are touched for the next studio album (release end of September 2023, tonproduktion records).

FORTUNA EHRENFELD are an integral part of the German indie scene. Martin Bechler has created his own genre with his idiosyncratic poetry and pulls one arrow after the other out of his quiver with unspent composure. Buttery soft drums, persistent electronic beats, guitar sounds and lush keyboard pads complete the travel group Seltsam to a unique trio that again and again generates the danceable drop heights for this extraordinary songwriting.

Between the inevitable pajamas and confetti cannons, an absolutely independent as well as unmistakable project of German pop culture has matured here. Five records, one EP, one French-language album, hundreds of sweaty concerts: What FORTUNA EHRENFELD have delivered and achieved in just a few years in the professional music business is amazing. And it gives one hope.

Because a world in which such a crude as well as self-confident mixture of pop and poetry, of bar and dance floor, of melancholy and feigned roof damage finds an audience, can't be so screwed after all.

Already with the previous albums FORTUNA EHRENFELD have staked out their territory and established themselves as a band that sounds like no other. Martin Bechler is one of the most impressive and independent lyricists to take to the mic on German stages.
