In the organizer's words:
Expressive faces in high-contrast black and white, taken with a large-format camera: the photography of Abram Mittelmann and Bob Jones combines aesthetics and craftsmanship over the course of a century. Together with Berlin-based photographer Jones, a tour of the exhibition will explore Mittelmann's visual language and the technique behind the image. In the subsequent workshop, theory will be put into practice using the self-built traveling camera - the participants will create their own portraits, which will be developed on site.
